Contribute an Article

In the beginning, we had a grand scheme. We'd have people submit story ideas, we'd approve them, and then they'd scamper off to write something amazing. We were going to get dozens of submissions and have a hard time culling the best of the best. We'd be able to mold an issue into a theme and create a masterpiece.

That, in retrospect, was a little niave for a first issue. We didn't get nearly as many article ideas as we had hoped, many of the ones we did get never ended up finishing or submitting an article, and it's entirely possible that the cumbersome process turned off people who might have otherwise submitted an article. So there's been a big change.

For the second issue, we just want you to submit an article. That's it. There are some basic guidelines below, and if you have any questions about your topic or anything of that nature, we'd be more than happy to help you in any way that we can. We would ask that you let us know if you think you're going to submit an article, but that's not a requirement.

Submission Guidlines

  • Length: 800-1200 words, ballpark.
  • Due Date: March 15th
  • Notice: Please contact Managing Editor Charlsie Paine if you think you might submit an article.

Submission guidelines are not "requirements". Articles can be longer or shorter, if you absolutely need more time, we can accommodate that to a limit, and notifying us is not necessary, nor is it binding -- if you let us know you're thinking about writing, and decide not to, no hard feelings. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact us.
